Reviews and Ratings
Staying at this ryokan was like stepping into a traditional Japanese living room with a cozy fireplace. The setting was beautiful, inside a forest by a clear stream, and convenient with free shuttles to Takayama. The dining experience was exceptional, although the room size was a bit small for three people, and the breakfast timing was early.
Wanosato is a charming hotel with cozy rooms and a unique dining experience. The service is a bit lacking, but the location is exceptional for nature lovers.
My stay at the ryokan was a unique experience. The rooms, though reminiscent of a deceased estate, were spacious and offered a breathtaking view of the river. The service was friendly yet language barrier was noticeable. The location, nestled in the forest near Takayama, was stunning, and the dining options were pleasing. Facilities were adequate, but some aspects could be improved for a more comfortable stay.
